December Monday Made It

I can't believe it's already time for another Monday Made It! It seems like just yesterday I was writing November's post. I'm linking up with Tara at 4th Grade Frolics to show you what {little} I've got!

I've had good intentions of making some things, but so far life and work have just gotten in the way. We have a 3 week break for Christmas, so I'm hoping to really step it up during break!

I'm borrowing my first made it from my teaching partner, Candace. She doesn't have a blog *but should* and this idea was just too good not to share.

She covered the front of her desk in duct tape!!! For the longest time I thought it was fabric until I overheard her telling someone else! I want to do this!

She even covered the front of her desk drawer!! Too cute!!

Even though I did post these ornaments on Five for Friday, I just had to have something Christmas related in my MMI so I don't look like scrooge! haha

And at home I made this sign for my sister for Christmas. Of course I couldn't wait to give it to her, so she has seen it but it is still at my house...lol! I am so bad about keeping gifts to myself.

Can you keep a gift secret or are you tempted to tell??

  1. Keeping gifts a secret is soooo hard! I want to give it to the person right away, which may explain why I have so little of my Christmas shopping done. :)

  2. I am the WORST about wanting to have everyone open their gifts RIGHT NOW! It's awful! I used to wait to shop until Christmas Eve because it just made it easier on me and everyone else. This year I actually started in October. I don't know what got into me! I'm still going through Five for Fridays posts so the reindeer was brand new to me. :)

  5. I actually have a gift that I made for the grandparents back in October that I am dying to post, but I'm waiting until AFTER Christmas! I love the sign for your sister!

  6. I can not keep a secret. I give presents usually the same day I buy them. I'm HORRIBLE. Love your sign and those are darling reindeer ornaments.

  7. Hello! I am your newest follower! :) I noticed you, too, are a 4th grade teacher! I am hoping we can learn from each other! I am teaching 4th grade for the first time this year... I am LOVING it!! Stop by sometime!

  8. I love that duct-taped desk facade - so much brighter and more appealing than a standard, drab black desk!

  9. I'm the worst at keeping gifts a secret! I get too excited and want to give them right away, which is why I shop late in the season! (Plus I'm a procrastinator!) Desk and ornaments look great!
