Adventures of a 4th grade Reading/Language Arts teacher.
Where did you get/make your teacher planner? I love it! I just could not find how you got it or made it. Please let me know!
Christie, check back here tomorrow morning for a post all about my planner! I'll even have some free templates for you to use in creating your own! Courtney
Courtney,I found your taming the paper monster series and have a question. It appears you are entirely self-contained. I am a very nontraditional (meaning I am WAY older than most!) first year teacher this year and will be teaching reading/social studies and trading students with a teacher who will be teaching science/math.I like the slash dividers with pockets at the front of the room. How would I adapt this for 2 groups of kids? What would you suggest?Thank you for putting all of your knowledge out there for people like me! It is so helpful and appreciated. :)Dolores from Texas
Dolores, thank you for your kind words! I'm so glad you've found something on my blog you can use in your classroom! I Was in the same teaching situation you were in last year so I just did two different sets of pockets - one in the front of the room and one on the side. This year I will be teaching 3 different classes and I just plan on using the same pocket for all 3 classes. I will just make sure I collect and paper clip the work before each class ends - something I usually do anyway!
Okay, easy enough! Now to get back in my classroom so I can scope it out. Thank you for your response.Wishing you a memorable school year,Dolores
Hi there! I noticed that the title on your blog has lesson spelled with three s's. Was wondering if that was on purpose? I saw that it wasn't spelled that way on your button, so I thought maybe it was an oversight. I don't usually like pointing out spelling mistakes for others, but if it was my blog I would definitely want someone to tell me. Thanks for sharing all of the ideas on your blog- I love following great teaching bloggers like you! :)
MIchelle, thank you so much for pointing this out!! I guess I was so focused on everything else I forgot to check the spelling in the title. I'm working with my blog designer now to get everything worked out. Thanks a million!!
