Welcome to the life of a 4th grade teacher! I currently teach Reading/Language Arts and Virginia Studies in a collaborative (inclusion) classroom. I have been teaching for 7 years now and this is my fourth year in 4th grade. I think the 4th graders are such a fun age group!
I have a Bachelor's in Liberal Arts and Sciences with a concentration in math and a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction. I'm basically hooked on all things school - school supplies, classroom decor, classroom management, and professional development opportunities. I look at every day as an opportunity to learn something new. Confession: I stalk Wal Mart beginning July 5th just waiting for all the shiny new school supplies to be put out.
I live on a farm with my husband and our many four-legged children. In my free time I enjoy sewing, reading, running, crafting, and spending time outside with my husband and our horses. I am a child of God and love to spend time at church. My husband and I teach Sunday School, Children's Church, and coordinate VBS.
